President Trump And China Slap North Korea!!!

President Donald Trump is counterpunching, so to speak, one day after North Korea reportedly fired an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Defense Secretary James Mattis told reporters Tuesday afternoon that the missile — the first the rogue nation has tested in months — went higher than any of its previous tests.

In response to the news, Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to announce he spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping “concerning the provocative actions of North Korea.” The president said that “additional major sanctions will be imposed” on the country as a result of dictator Kim Jong Un’s actions.

“This situation,” he tweeted, “will be handled.”

Trump’s communication with the Chinese president and his vow to impose additional sanctions on Kim’s regime follow his promise Tuesday to address the situation. Speaking to the press from the White House, Trump said the United States “will take care of” North Korea’s provocations.

Tensions between the United States and North Korea have only increased since Trump announced his administration’s intention to name the country an official state sponsor of terrorism — a designation that comes with increased sanctions.
